Books and Booze

So Andrea and I are going to revamp our book club. Here are our priorities:

1. Cool, fun ladies

2. Lots of drinking (+ eating)

3. Scandalous books

We are going to call it Books and Booze. (My original idea was to call it Booze and Books, but Andrea said we had to put "books" first so that we'd be taken seriously as a book club. Fair enough.)

It looks something like this:

October: Discuss "Sex with Kings"* at Bar Tabac over mimosas and eggs benedict.   

November: Discuss "Bobbed Hair and Bathtub Gin"* over mojitos at Cafe Cubana.

December: Discuss "The Myth of You and Me"* over egg nog at Beth's.

[Do you get the picture? Alcohol is always involved. I think it would also be fun to discuss books over tea, but we can't make a habit of it.]

[The books are TBD but the alcohol is non-negotiable]

Primarily at fun places in Brooklyn...but we make booze it up in Manhattan from time to time, too.

I envision us wearing fantastic outfits and dark red nail polish and looking very smart and literary.  Like this:
