After very brief visits to Urban Outfitters last week and Zara and the Gap last night, I was inspired to re-visit my fall clothing shopping list.
A few color inspirations:
Shoes:
-Cowboy boots
-clog / moccasin type shoes for bumming around
-cute peep toe heels to be worn with jeans
- New Ugg like for cold, snowy weather
-Black knee-high boots for fancy / sexy
Bags:
-big number in fab color that I can throw a lot of stuff into
-maybe some cool vintage finds in the EV or Williamsburg [UPDATE: 9/1/05: went to EV last weekend was unsuccessful in locating; perhaps W-Burg will be more fruitful]
Tops:
-long sleeve tees and layering numbers
- a few sweaters that don't make me look chunky
-a few blazers / cropped jackets in cool colors / patterns [UPDATE 9/1/05: Zara and Urban Outfitters are promising]
-camis [UPDATE 9/1/05: Express is having a sale and they have some really cute camis that are $14.50 a piece; will pick up one or three tonight after Grizzly Man]
-coat (preferably yellow or green) [UPDATE 9/1/05: have also become obsessed with idea of grey coat, navy coat [from Diane T?] and leather bomber jacket; thus want 5 coats for fall/winter 2005; justifying based on: fall/winter is very cold in NYC, practically live in coats all season; plus do not want other people to get sick of looking at my same coat every day - being benevolent]
Bottoms:
-jeans, jeans, jeans
-[ADDED 9/1/05] cropped pants in tweed, herringbone, etc, to be worn with boots and peep toe heels
-work stuff (pants, etc) [UPDATE 9/1/05: Definitely need some new work "bottoms"...and tops; need work stuff in general, or need to convince leading investment bank to change wardrobe policy to: "casual"]

-fedora
-more big chunky scarves, yes i have a million, but see justification for "coat" above
-colorful tights (see scrapbook)

My gynecologist just called to cancel my appointment. Totally insulted and fear that she does not want to see me naked.
