Here is what I was searching for: [A start to my mis-matched tea cup collection a la Me and Andrea]
And here is what I found:
[Set of 4 teacups and saucers in the Songbird pattern for $45, available at Inspireco]
So now I can have a Tea Party and look like this:
I have a little addiction. Not to drugs or booze or anything like that. My addiction is much more innocuous, but just as costly if I let it get out of hand.
I am completely addicted to buying journals. And dayplanners. And notebooks.
I see one that is so adorable, so perfect, so fantastic, that I HAVE to have it, even though I have ten more at home.
It's the same routine, each time. "This book will change my life. I will be perfectly organized, totally on top of things, and I'll never forget the name of that book/DVD / restaurant shop I heard about from So and So."
The result? I have a million and one places to record my thoughts, appointments and grocery lists and yet, I still end up writing everything on the back of my Duane Reade receipt.
Through out time I have accumulated hundreds (okay, maybe tens) of products like that which I have described above. None of them ever finished. All of them filled with barely comprehensible chicken scratch, foreign even to me days later.
So you can imagine my excitement when I went to Borders today to hunt down the October issue of Nylon and I found it. I found The One. The journal that will change my life. From now on, I will be perfectly organized, totally on top of things, and I'll never forget the name of that book/DVD / restaurant shop I heard about from So and So.
Here it is:
Its covered in French vintage ephemera which made it Completely Irresistible to me.
Here is my first (and only, so far) page: (I'm always nervous to write the first page, because it really sets the tone for how the rest looks)
When I tore off the plastic, I was disappointed to find that the pages were lined. I need blank pages for my sketches and stick figures. So I'll have to buy another book for those. Not that I mind.
I just bought this fantastic ring and I couldn't be more excited.
